dc.description.abstractLos instrumentos y materiales utilizados durante una intervención estarán recubiertos por sangre y restos de tejidos; pueden haber entrado en contacto con agentes químicos y fluidos, suciedad y polvo. El lúmen de los instrumentos tubulados también puede estar repleto de suciedad. De una forma u otra, los materiales deben ser reprocesados para que puedan ser utilizados de manera segura sobre un nuevo paciente. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el proceso de limpieza del instrumental quirúrgico por parte del personal de instrumentación de la clínica Valledupar 2021. Metodológicamente, el estudio es de tipo descriptivo y de corte transversal, además, se trabajó con la población conformada por 10 instrumentadores de la clínica Valledupar sin muestra representativa porque se trabajó con la población total. Los resultados de esta investigación arrojaron que el 100% de los encuestados, siempre realizan un lavado meticuloso del instrumental con el cepillo y los detergentes adecuados, que retiran los trozos de tejido y de sangre de los mismos y que el 80% de los encuestados siempre examina el instrumental para verificar que esté completamente limpio. De acuerdo al conocimiento del traslado adecuado del instrumental, el 90% asegura siempre utilizar guantes para trasladar el instrumental hacia la central mientras que el 50% dice trasladar el instrumental en contenedores algunas veces. En cuanto a la eficiencia del lavado del instrumental, el 80% de los encuestados manifiesta siempre realizar un lavado adecuado del instrumental y, por último, el 60% de los encuestados manifiesta siempre asegurarse que el área de lavado esté completamente limpia. En conclusión, los instrumentadores quirúrgicos, aunque en su gran mayoría conocen y aplican las normas para la limpieza del instrumental, no lo hacen al 100% y es por ello que en la investigación se evidencia una falta de aplicación en cuanto al traslado y la limpieza del área de lavado. The objective of this research is to analyze the cleaning process of the surgical instruments by the instrumentation personnel of the Valledupar 2021 clinic. Methodologically, the study is descriptive and cross-sectional, in addition, it worked with the population made up of 10 instrumentation personnel. of the Valledupar clinic without a representative sample because we worked with the total population. The results of this research showed that 100% of the respondents always carry out a meticulous washing of the instruments with the appropriate brush and detergents, which remove the pieces of tissue and blood from them and that 80% of the respondents always examine the instruments to verify that they are completely clean. According to the knowledge of the adequate transfer of the instruments, 90% assure that they always use gloves to transfer the instruments to the central while 50% say to transfer the instruments in containers sometimes. Regarding the efficiency of instrument washing, 80% of the respondents stated that they always wash the instruments properly and, finally, 60% of the respondents stated that they always make sure that the washing area is completely clean. In conclusion, the surgical instrumentalists, although the vast majority know and apply the standards for cleaning instruments, do not do so 100% and that is why the research shows a lack of application in terms of transfer and cleaning. of the laundry area.
