dc.description.abstractEl alzhéimer es una enfermedad neurológica que avanza con el tiempo teniendo consecuencias en la calidad de vida de quien la padece y sus personas más cercanas. El objetivo fue determinar el conocimiento y la actitud del profesional de enfermería sobre el Alzheimer en una institución prestadora de servicios de salud de Valledupar, 2020-2. La metodología tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal con una muestra de 21 enfermeros, se aplicaron dos instrumentos para medir conocimiento y actitud cuyo autor de estos es (Pari, 2008). En cuanto a los resultados, el 71,4% de los encuestados es de género femenino, el 66,7% tiene más de 30 años, el 42,9% se graduó hace más de 15 años, el nivel educativo que prevalece es el pregrado con el 71,4%, el 47,6% afirma que no recibió ninguna formación sobre la enfermedad. El 66,7% de los enfermeros conoce el significado de la demencia y el 100% del Alzheimer, el 28% reconoce en que estadio se presenta los trastornos de la memoria, además, el 33% reconoce en que estadio la persona enferma tiene dependencia para vestirse, salir a la calle y alimentarse, el 81% de los encuestados responde adecuadamente afirmando que en el estadio severo la persona con alzhéimer es imposible o incapaz de cuidarse sola, el 90,5% de los participantes afirman correctamente que una de las alteraciones lingüísticas en los sujetos con Alzheimer es “lentitud en las palabra y su vocabulario disminuye”. En cuanto a la actitud, a los profesionales no les cuesta orientar a una persona con alzhéimer, el 57% se encuentra de acuerdo en atender a pacientes a un paciente con Alzheimer, aun sabiendo que, no me tomara atención, el 64% le es agradable ayudar al paciente con Alzheimer a encontrar las palabras adecuadas para expresarse, al 45% no le es desagradable cepillar a un paciente con alzhéimer, el 64% considera que el paciente con delirios y alucinaciones no debe permanecer aislado. Se concluye que el 54%de los encuestados cuenta con altos conocimientos sobre al Alzheimer, mientras que el 36% se ubica en el rango medio, en el caso de la actitud, el 65% tiene una actitud de aceptación, el 20% se encuentra indeciso y el 15% una actitud de rechazo. Abstract Alzheimer's is a neurological disease that progresses over time, having consequences on the quality of life of those who suffer from it and those closest to them. The objective was to determine the knowledge and attitude of the nursing professional about Alzheimer's in a health service provider institution in Valledupar, 2020-2. The methodology had a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach with a sample of 22 nurses, two instruments were applied to measure knowledge and attitude whose author is (Pari, 2008). Regarding the results, 71.4% of the respondents are female, 66.7% are over 30 years old, 42.9% graduated more than 15 years ago, the prevailing educational level is undergraduate with 71.4%, 47.6% state that they did not receive any training on the disease. 66.7% of the nurses know the meaning of dementia and 100% of Alzheimer's, 28% recognize in what stage memory disorders occur, in addition, 33% recognize in what stage the sick person has dependency to get dressed, go out and eat, 81% of those surveyed responded appropriately stating that in the severe stage the person with Alzheimer's is impossible or incapable of taking care of themselves, 90.5% of the participants correctly stated that one of the linguistic alterations in subjects with Alzheimer's is "slowness in words and their vocabulary decreases". In terms of attitude, it is not difficult for professionals to guide a person with Alzheimer's, 57% agree with caring for a patient with Alzheimer's, even knowing that they will not pay attention to me, 64% agree pleasant to help the patient with Alzheimer's to find the right words to express himself, 45% do not find it unpleasant to brush a patient with Alzheimer's, 64% consider that the patient with delusions and hallucinations should not remain isolated. It is concluded that 54% of the respondents have high knowledge about Alzheimer's, while 36% are in the middle range, in the case of attitude, 65% have an attitude of acceptance, 20% are indecisive and 15% an attitude of rejection.
