Afrontamiento y adaptación de madres de recién nacidos hospitalizados en la unidad neonatal del hospital Rosario Pumarejo de López, 2020-II

Abstract
La llegada de un bebé es sinónimo de alegría, sin embargo, cuando el recién nacido debe ser hospitalizado este hecho desencadena una reacción intensa que termina afectando la salud de las madres, por lo cual es necesarios que estos cuenten con estrategias de afrontamiento que permitan hacerles frente a las demandas que la situación requiera. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el grado de capacidad de afrontamiento y adaptación de madres de recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad Neonatal del Hospital Rosario Pumarejo De López, 2020-II. El enfoque del estudio fue cuantitativo, descriptivo y de corte transversal, con una muestra conformada por 16 madres de hijos recién nacidos hospitalizados en la UCIN, además, debían cumplir con los criterios de inclusión, para la recolección de información se utilizó la escala de medición del proceso de afrontamiento y adaptación de Callista Roy en español, versión abreviada y un instrumento para recolección de datos sociodemográficos. De acuerdo con los resultados, las madres tenían una edad promedio de 20 años, de estrato socioeconómico 1. Además, las madres aceptan los problemas tal y cual como se presentan, sin embargo, las situaciones difíciles dificultan las actividades, tareas y proyectos y actúan con lentitud, asimismo, las madres en una situación difícil no tienen dominio sobre como orientar los sentimiento y emociones que experimentan, aunque se encontró que las madres están atentas a cualquier novedad relacionada con el problema o situación, por otro lado, el 50% siempre reacciona de manera exagerada cuando tienen un problema o situación difícil, además, el 56,25% siempre se bloquea ante una situación difícil y evitan el problema y cuando lo enfrentes no le dan un buen manejo. Por otro lado, el 43,75% de los encuestados nunca hace cambios drásticos en su vida para solucionar un problema o situación difícil, además, la experiencia con un problema similar al actual no ayuda en nada a las madres con recién nacidos hospitalizados, incluso la población objeto de estudio no utiliza las soluciones que a otros le han funcionado para resolver sus propios problemas y no ven los problemas o situaciones difíciles como una oportunidad. Las madres presentan una mediana capacidad de afrontamiento y adaptación, además, ninguna persona presenta una alta capacidad de afrontamiento.
Abstract
The arrival of a baby is synonymous with joy, however, when the newborn must be hospitalized this fact triggers an intense reaction that ends up affecting the health of the parents, which is why it is necessary that they have coping strategies that allow them to facing the demands that the situation requires. The objective of the study was to determine the coping and adaptation capacity of parents of newborns hospitalized in the Neonatal Unit of Hospital Rosario Pumarejo De López, 2020-II. The approach of the study was quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional, with a sample made up of 19 mothers of newborn children hospitalized in the NICU, in addition, they had to meet the inclusion criteria, for the collection of information the measurement scale was used of the process of coping and adaptation of Callista Roy in Spanish, abbreviated version and an instrument for collecting sociodemographic data. The average age of the participants was 20 years, from socioeconomic stratum 1, professing the Trinitarian religion and are high school graduates. In addition, mothers accept problems as they arise, however, difficult situations make activities, tasks and projects difficult and act slowly, likewise, mothers in a difficult situation do not have control over how to guide feelings and emotions that they experience, although it was found that mothers are attentive to any news related to the problem or situation, on the other hand, 50% always overreact when they have a problem or difficult situation, in addition, 56.25% always blocks in a difficult situation and avoid the problem and when you face it they do not give you good management. On the other hand, 43.75% of those surveyed never make drastic changes in their life to solve a problem or difficult situation, in addition, the experience with a problem similar to the current one does not help mothers with hospitalized newborns, even the population under study does not use the solutions that have worked for others to solve their own problems and they do not see problems or difficult situations as an opportunity.
