- ItemEvaluation of a silage Produced by Mixture of Residues of Cassava (Manihot Esculenta ), Potato (Solanum Tuberosum), Eggplant (Solanum Melongena) And Watermelon (Citrullus Lanatus), Generated in Supermarkets(2023) Gordon Hernández, Yimi; Vidal Tovar, Carlos; Pérez Rojas, Yimmis Arturo; Parra Ditta, Clarivel; Vides Redondo, Adalberto JoséAbstract This paper evaluates the physical, chemical and microbiological composition of silage obtained from mixtures of plant residues. The research was experimental with a quantitative approach, the data obtained from the response variables were analyzed using statistical tools for the subsequent interpretation of the data. For the execution of the experiment, plant residues of potatoes, cassava, eggplant and watermelon discarded in supermarkets in the city of Valledupar were used. For the production of silage, a completely random experimental design was applied with four treatments and three repetitions. The best treatment was selected through the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and comparison of means through the Tukey test. Three of the four alternatives for the production of silage are viable since they carry the process in a correct way because the pH values given suggest that there is an optimal production of lactic acid bacteria. The tests carried out comply with adequate characteristics in treatments two, three and four. Treatments containing the highest percentage of cassava showed the best values in fiber, carbohydrates and protein. While the silages that contained in greater proportion the potato were the richest in moisture. Keywords: Silage, Vegetable Waste, Animal Feed, Supermarkets, Fermentation.
- ItemAcademic Performance and Saber Pro Test Results in Industrial Engineering Students(2022) Gordon Hernández, Yimi; Vidal Tovar, Carlos; Maestre Pérez, jehisa; Rodríguez Cujia, Jholiannis YuliethAbstract The article aims to present the management by competencies within two serviceoriented entities, but organized by different forms of management. Documentary analysis, interviews, Delphi by rounds, questionnaire were used as methods, allowing an initial diagnosis of the aforementioned approach and the determination of the competency system. ARQDECONS management has achieved to assess its staff and to design an appropriate training process, taking into account observed development of their competencies. At CENCEC organization, the organizational competencies were updated along with their conceptualizations, prior to redesign the rest of the system. The most relevant results include the use of the competency approach in two entities from different sectors. Both experiences are useful as a reference to achieve greater intentionality and efficiency in the Training and Performance Evaluation processes. Keywords: Job Competencies, management, human capital. - ItemRelation of Lenght, Weight And Condition Factor of Nilotic Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) In High Density Crops(2020) Gordon Hernández, Yimi; Vidal Tovar, Carlos; Jimenez Salas Milton; Vides Redondo, AdalbertoAbstract This study analyzes the length-weight relationship and condition factor (k) of Nilotic Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) during the different stages or phases of its cultivation cycle, as well as determines other useful biometric variables for pattern analysis of the species’ growth. For this purpose, 2188 data were processed, obtained from three production processes under the same management conditions in a fish farming company located in the Maracayo district, municipality of Montería, Colombia. Data was collected using biometrics from the months of June through November, 2019. The results obtained when analyzing the length-weight relationship shows isometric growth in nilotic tilapia, with slight variation during the three stages of cultivation. The values of the condition factor K varied according to the phase, increasing as individuals’ weight grew. The correlation of some morphometric variables with environmental variables fundamentally associated with water quality was analyzed. Keywords: Condition factor, biometrics, water quality, growth
- ItemPUBLIC POLICIES OF EDUCATION IN COLOMBIA: CRITICAL ANALYSIS FROM THE TEACHING EXPERIENCE OF THE POPULAR UNIVERSITY OF CESAR(2024) Figueroa Pérez, Carol Patricia; Ustáriz Mejía, María Lourdes; Daza Daza; Julio Cesar; Mendoza Ruíz, Charles José; Díaz Martínez, Jonathan José; Yerena Rincones, Jonathan LuisAbstract Recent Colombian education policies have been evaluated according to criteria of relevance, effectiveness, and equity, based on an analytical framework that articulates the tension between the centrality of education and the principle of autonomy, and that explores the meaning of equity in a context of poverty and inequality. The supply of basic education has increased in coverage and quality, although there are still significant shortcomings in rural areas and in the care of the Afro-Colombian and indigenous population. These achievements, which have allowed a greater number of young people to access secondary and higher education, have not been sufficient to guarantee educational equity. The opportunity for better and greater access for vulnerable groups has been frustrated at various levels by the inadequacy of the educational offer to their conditions and requirements. Along these lines, alternative interpretations are proposed, which do not circumvent the criterion of relevance, and which emerge from careful observation and the experiences of the team. Keywords: Public policies, higher education, teaching experiences, critical analysis.
