Abstract
Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la relación entre estrés académico y riesgo de deserción en estudiantes de primer y segundo semestre, del programa de Psicología de la Universidad Popular del Cesar 2019-1. Bajo el paradigma cuantitativo de diseño no experimental de corte transversal, donde se obtiene una población total de 215 sujetos y con ayuda del muestreo aleatorio simple se reduce a una muestra significativa y valida de 150 individuos en el que se aplicó el inventario de estrés académico SISCO, en donde se observó que entre las variables estrés académico y riesgo de deserción no existe correlación significativa; pero si se logró determinar que hay relación entre el primer fenómeno y los datos sociodemográficos, específicamente en cuanto a la edad, también se hallaron correlaciones significativa entre los estresores y los síntomas del estrés académico.
Abstract
An investigation was carried out with the main objective of determining the relationship between academic stress and attrition risk in first and second semester students, of the Psychology program of the Popular University of Cesar 2019-1. Under the quantitative paradigm of non-experimental cross-sectional design, where a total population of 215 subjects is obtained and with the help of simple random sampling it is reduced to a significant and valid sample of 150 individuals in which the SISCO academic stress inventory was applied , where it was observed that the variables academic stress and attrition risk are not correlational, but if there is a correlation between the first phenomenon and sociodemographic data, that is, at a younger age, higher level of academic stress and significance is found among stressors and symptoms, that is, the greater the presence of the former, the latter rises.
