dc.description.abstractEn esta investigación se analizan los indicadores de desarrollo sostenible de la ecorregión Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta en jurisdicción del departamento del Cesar, para ello se diseña un Observatorio piloto de desarrollo sostenible; este cuenta con cuatro dimensiones y cinco indicadores de desarrollo sostenible preestablecidos en la investigación de Carpio (2016), los cuales son: Cobertura de Alcantarillado Urbano y Rural (%), Porcentaje pobreza multidimensional municipal (%), Tasa de Desempleo Municipal (%), Relación Área de Parques y Zonas Protegidas Municipales e Índice de Riesgo de la Calidad del Agua para Consumo Humano, la información de estos indicadores fue suministrada por las empresas prestadoras de servicios públicos (correspondiente a cada municipio), el departamento administrativo nacional de estadística (DANE) y el sistema de parques naturales nacionales (PNN). El análisis del estado de estos indicadores muestra que la dimensión económica (conformada por los indicadores Porcentaje pobreza multidimensional municipal y Tasa de Desempleo Municipal) y la dimensión ambiental (con el indicador Índice de Riesgo de la Calidad del Agua para Consumo Humano) requieren de mayor atención, puesto que se encuentran en estado crítico. ABSTRACT This research analyses the sustainable development indicators of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta ecoregion in the jurisdiction of the Cesar department, designing a pilot observatory for sustainable development; this has four dimensions and five indicators of sustainable development preset in Carpio research (2016), which are: Urban and Rural Sewerage Coverage (%), Municipal Multidimensional Poverty Percentage (%), Municipal Unemployment Rate (%), Relationship Area of Parks and Municipal Protected Areas and Water Quality Risk Index for Human Consumption, the information of these indicators was provided by public service providers (corresponding to each municipality), the National Administrative Department of Statistics and the National Natural Parks System. The analysis of the status of these indicators shows that the economic dimension (consisting of the Municipal Multidimensional Poverty Percentage and Municipal Unemployment Rate) indicator and the environmental dimension (with the Water Quality Risk Index for Human Consumption indicator) require greater attention, since they are in critical condition.
