dc.description.abstractEn el artículo se presenta un análisis bibliográfico sobre la tendencia de estudios realizados con respecto a la relación del rendimiento acadé- mico y resultados de pruebas de conocimiento en estudiantes de edu- cación superior. La literatura investigada abarca un periodo de tiempo del 2014 – 2021. La revisión se realizó en las bases de datos Google Académico, Science Direct, Springer Link, SciELO y Scopus, en las cua- les se aplicó un análisis bibliométrico con la herramienta VOSviewer, investigando por tema y año con selección de metadatos, registrándo- se un total de 4692 publicaciones de artículos científicos relacionadas con el tema de investigación. Los resultados mostraron que la base de datos que registra más información fué Google Académico, con un total de 1712, representando el 36% del total de publicaciones revisadas, convirtiéndose en la principal ventana de visibilidad internacional. Se logró identificar que el mayor número de publicaciones están realizadas por países de Europa y Asia, en las cuales se realizan una exhaustiva investigación con respecto a la educación superior y el desempeño de los estudiantes; demostrando la falta de publicaciones nacionales en revistas indexadas y contrastando con el aumento en la cantidad de publicaciones a nivel internacional después del año 2014. } Palabras claves: rendimiento académico, educación superior, pruebas de conocimiento, ingeniería industrial. Abstract The article presents a bibliographic analysis on the trend of studies carried out regarding the relationship of academic performance and results of knowledge tests in higher education students. The literature investigated covers a period of time from 2014 - 2021. The review was carried out in the Google Academic, Science Direct, Springer Link, SciELO and Scopus da- tabases, in which a bibliometric analysis was applied with the VOSviewer tool, investigating by topic and year with metadata selection, registering a total of 4692 publications of scientific articles related to the research topic. The results showed that the database that records the most information was Google Scholar, with a total of 1712, representing 36% of the total pu- blications reviewed, becoming the main window of international visibility. It was possible to identify that the largest number of publications are made by countries in Europe and Asia, in which exhaustive research is carried out with respect to higher education and student performance; demonstrating the lack of national publications in indexed journals and contrasting with the increase in the number of publications internationally after 2014.
