Abstract
Las habilidades sociales son repertorios de conductas que utilizan las personas para afrontar diversas situaciones de su vida. El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo describir las habilidades sociales de los estudiantes de los grados noveno de la Institución Educativa Joaquín Ochoa Maestre de Valledupar, es de enfoque cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo con un diseño no experimental de tipo transversal, la muestra utilizada estuvo conformada por 164 estudiantes y como instrumento de medición se utilizó la lista de chequeo conductual de las habilidades sociales de Arnold Goldstein et al. Los resultados obtenidos fueron que las habilidades sociales de los estudiantes de los grados novenos de la Institución Educativa Joaquín Ochoa Maestre de Valledupar son; escuchar, pedir ayuda, resolver el miedo, ayudar a los demás, formular una queja y tomar una decisión. Sin embargo, con un promedio general, el 32% de los alumnos presentan deficiente nivel en sus habilidades sociales y con mayor déficit en las HHSS para mantener una conversación, convencer a los demás, auto recompensarse, evitar problemas, responder a la persuasión, prepararse para una conversación difícil y para concentrarse en una tarea. También, se encontró que las HHSS para hacer frente al estrés y planificación de los estudiantes, el sexo femenino presento una mejor puntuación que el masculino, es decir, un excelente nivel en el desarrollo de estas habilidades. Sin embargo, en términos generales en ambas dimensiones los estudiantes presentan déficit en la habilidad para responder a la persuasión, estar preparado para una conversación difícil, concentrarse en una tarea y establecer objetivos.
Abstract
Social skills are repertoires of behaviors that people use to face various situations in their lives. This research project aims to describe the social skills of students in the ninth grades of the Joaquín Ochoa Maestre de Valledupar Educational Institution, it is a descriptive-type quantitative approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design, the sample used was made up For 164 students, the behavioral checklist of social skills by Arnold Goldstein et al. was used as a measuring instrument. The results obtained were what the social skills of the students of the ninth grades of the Educational Institution Joaquín Ochoa Maestre de Valledupar, they are; listen, ask for help, resolve fear, help others, make a complaint and make a decision. However, with a general average, 32% of students show a low level in their social skills and with a greater deficit in HHSS to carry on a conversation, convince others, self-reward, avoid problems, respond to persuasion, prepare for a difficult conversation and to focus on a task. Also, it was found that the HHSS to face the stress and planning of the students, the female sex presented a better score than the male, that is, an excellent level in the development of these skills. However, in general terms in both dimensions, students show deficits in the ability to respond to persuasion, be prepared for a difficult conversation, focus on a task and set goals.
