Abstract
El presente proyecto de grado tuvo por objetivo determinar las actitudes hacia la política en jóvenes en edades comprendidas entre 18 y 40 años del programa de Psicología de la Universidad Popular del Cesar en el año 2020. Se realizó desde un enfoque cuantitativo, con un tipo de investigación descriptiva – comparativa y de un corte transversal. Se trabajó con una muestra de 284 estudiantes del programa de psicología de la Universidad Popular del Cesar, a los cuales se les aplicó un cuestionario de las variables sociodemográficas y una escala de actitudes hacia la política, los cuales buscan caracterizar a la población en estudio y conocer cuáles son las actitudes que presentan los sujetos. Los resultados indican que, los sujetos en estudio se encuentran en una edad de pleno reconocimiento de sus derechos políticos manifestando presentar actitudes favorables frente a la política, en los tres componentes de la actitud (afectiva, cognitiva y comportamental) los estudiantes se ubicaron en su mayoría en la categoría alta (Q3), aludiendo tener sentimientos, conocimientos e incidencias de conducta positivas hacia la política. A partir de estos resultados, se comparó las características sociodemográficas con cada una de las dimensiones de la actitud, obteniendo así un perfil sociodemográfico de los estudiantes que están favorables o desfavorables frente a la política.
Abstract
The objective of this degree project was to determine the attitudes towards politics in young people between the ages of 18 and 40 in the Psychology program of the Popular University of Cesar in 2020. It was carried out from a quantitative approach, with a descriptive-comparative type of research and a cross-sectional one. We worked with a sample of 284 students from the psychology program of the Popular University of Cesar, to whom a questionnaire of sociodemographic variables and a scale of attitudes towards politics were applied, which seek to characterize the population under study and know which are the attitudes that the subjects present. The results indicate that the study subjects are at an age of full recognition of their political rights, showing that they present favorable attitudes towards politics, in the three components of the attitude (affective, cognitive and behavioral) the students were located in their majority in the high category (Q3), alluding to have positive feelings, knowledge and incidences of behavior towards politics. Based on these results, the sociodemographic characteristics were compared with each of the attitude dimensions, thus obtaining a sociodemographic profile of the students who are favorable or unfavorable towards politics.
