dc.description.abstractDeterminar la relación entre el perfil vocacional y rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de segundo semestre del programa de psicología de la Universidad Popular del Cesar. Metodología: Se realiza un estudio transversal, correlacional, no experimental. con una población finita, por censo de 38 estudiantes que cumplieron el criterio de inclusión. Se utiliza como instrumento para el perfil vocacional el test CHASIDE que mide intereses y aptitudes; para el rendimiento académico se solicitaron las notas de los estudiantes a la oficina de registro y control de la Universidad Popular del Cesar. Resultados: Se observa la puntuación más alta en la dimensión H – humanísticas y sociales con 80% en intereses y 82% en aptitudes. En cuanto al rendimiento académico el 50% de los estudiantes se ubican en un promedio alto y el otro 50% en superior, en bajo y medio no se ubicó ninguno. Con respecto a las correlaciones por dimensión de las variables, se obtuvieron 20 asociaciones negativa media, 5 positivas débil, 1 positiva considerable, 1 positiva media, 1 negativa débil. Concluyendo que, el perfil vocacional influye en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes del programa de Psicología de la Universidad Popular del Cesar. Abstract Determine the relationship between the vocational profile and academic performance of students of second semester of Psychology programme of the University Popular of Cesar. Methodology: A transversal, correlation and not experimental study was carried out through a census with a finite population of 38 students who met the inclusion criteria. The CHASIDE test was used as an instrument to measure interests and aptitudes for vocational profile; it resquested the students scores for the academic perfomance to the registration and control office of the University Popular of Cesar. Results: The dimension H- humanities and socials scored better than the others with 80% in interests and 82% in aptitudes. Regarding the academic perfomance 50% of the students are located in a high average, the other 50% are in superior and low. There are not students in medium. Concerning the correlations for the dimensions of the variables it was obtained 20 negative medium relations, 5 positive weak, 1 positive significant, 1 positive medium, 1 negative weak. It concludes that the vocational profile influences the academic perfomance in the students of Psychology programme of the University Popular of Cesar.
