Abstract
El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la calidad de atención de enfermería a pacientes con VIH – SIDA en una IPS pública del municipio de Valledupar, 2020-II. El estudio es cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal conformado por 24 enfermeros de la IPS pública ubicada en Valledupar. En cuanto a los resultados, el promedio de edades en este estudio fue de 35,5 años, la mayoría de los encuestados son de género femenino, con experiencia laboral de más de 24 meses, el total de enfermeros trabaja en el área asistencial. Los factores personales y culturales que influyen en la calidad de la atención se encontraron la promiscuidad, el temor al contagio, prioridad para atender a pacientes que no tengan diagnóstico de VIH, aunque los enfermeros no sienten incomodidad para atender a un paciente, no tienen problemas para entablar una conversación, y llevan a cabo la valoración completa a los pacientes con VIH y nunca han remitido a un paciente con VIH sin justificación; en cuanto al conocimiento del enfermero se encontró que reconocen que el VIH afecta los CD4, tienen claro que las personas con VIH no necesariamente desarrollen SIDA, conocen la diferencia entre VIH y SIDA y las prueba para detectar el VIH así como la prueba confirmativa (Western blot), tienen conocimiento sobre el hecho que no pueden negarse a atender a pacientes que viven con la condición de estudio, y reconocen que el paciente debe diligenciar su consentimiento informado si quiere practicar una prueba de VIH., los encuestados brindan atención integral y apoyo a los enfermos, pese a esto siente temor en la toma de sangre, al tomar signos vitales y están dispuestos a tomar medidas extremas para salvar y/o atender a un paciente. Se puede concluir que los enfermeros brindan una buena calidad de atención debido a que poseen los conocimientos necesarios, aunque hay cierto factores personales y culturales que se deben abordar para mejorar aún más la atención.
Abstract
Determine the quality of nursing care for patients with HIV - AIDS in a public IPS of the municipality of Valledupar, 2020-II. The study is quantitative, descriptive and crosssectional, made up of 24 nurses from Hospital Rosario Pumarejo de López located in Valledupar, these nurses met the inclusion criteria to be part of this research. Regarding results, the average age in this study was 35.5 years, most of the respondents are female, with work experience of more than 24 months, the total number of nurses works in the healthcare area. Regarding the personal and cultural factors that influence the quality of care, promiscuity, fear of contagion were found, a priority to care for patients who do not have an HIV diagnosis, although nurses do not feel discomfort to care for a patient, they have no problem engaging in conversation, and they carry out full screening of HIV patients and have never referred an HIV patient without justification. Regarding the knowledge that the nursing professional has, about their role in the care of the patient with HIV / AIDS, the respondents recognize that HIV affects CD4s, they are clear that people with HIV do not necessarily develop AIDS, they know the difference between HIV and AIDS and the tests to detect HIV as well as the confirmatory test (Western blot), are aware of the fact that they cannot refuse to care for patients living with the study condition, and they recognize that the patient must Fill out your informed consent if you want to take an HIV test., respondents provide comprehensive care and support to patients, despite this they feel fear when taking blood, taking vital signs and are willing to take extreme measures to save and / or or caring for a patient. It can be concluded that nurses provide a good quality of care because they have the necessary knowledge, although there are certain personal and cultural factors that must be addressed to further improve care.
