dc.description.abstractEl estudio presenta una evaluación integral de la agresividad climática, aridez, erosividad hídrica y concentración de precipitaciones en el departamento del Cesar, utilizando indicadores clave como el Índice de Agresividad Climática Modificado de Fournier (IMF), Índice de Aridez (IA), Índice de Erosividad Hídrica Total (IET) y el Índice de Concentración de Precipitaciones (ICP). El análisis del IMF durante diversos fenómenos climáticos reveló una variabilidad significativa: valores muy bajos (IMF: 0-60) cubren el 99.1% del área durante La Niña, bajos (IMF: 60-90) y moderados (IMF: 90-120) en periodos estacionarios, y altos a muy altos (IMF: 120-160) en menos del 25% de la región durante el mismo periodo. Esta diversidad en la agresividad climática subraya la urgencia de adoptar políticas de gestión del riesgo climático que sean flexibles y adaptables a cambios rápidos en las condiciones climáticas para proteger eficazmente los recursos naturales y agrícolas del departamento. ABSTRACT The study presents a comprehensive assessment of climate aggressiveness, aridity, water erosivity, and precipitation concentration in the department of Cesar, using key indicators such as the Modified Fournier Aggressiveness Index (IMF), Aridity Index (IA), Total Water Erosivity Index (IET), and the Precipitation Concentration Index (ICP). Analysis of the IMF during various climatic phenomena revealed significant variability: very low values (IMF: 0-60) cover 99.1% of the area during La Niña, low (IMF: 60-90) and moderate (IMF: 90-120) in stationary periods, and high to very high (IMF: 120-160) in less than 25% of the region during the same period. This diversity in climate aggressiveness underscores the urgency of adopting climate risk management policies that are flexible and adaptable to rapid changes in climatic conditions to effectively protect the department's natural and agricultural resources.
