dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general describir los hábitos de estudio y estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de sexto grado (jornada mañana) de la Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial Pedro Castro Monsalvo “INSTPECAM” en la ciudad de Valledupar año 2022. Teóricamente, se fijó posición con los postulados de Vicuña (1998), sobre hábitos de estudio y Alonso et al. (1994), sobre estilos de aprendizaje. Metodológicamente, este estudio se realizó bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental de tipo descriptivo y de corte transversal. Se aplicó el inventario de hábitos de estudio (CAMS – 85) y el cuestionario Honey-Alonso sobre estilos de aprendizaje a una muestra de 100 estudiantes de sexto grado (jornada mañana) de la Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial Pedro Castro Monsalvo “INSTPECAM”. Los resultados indicaron que el 44% de los sujetos posee una tendencia positiva hacia los hábitos de estudio, el 31% una categoría positiva, el 20% una tendencia negativa, el 4% una categoría muy positiva y el 1% tiene una categoría negativa. Por otra parte, el 40% de los sujetos tiene preferencia por el estilo teórico, el 24% por el activo, el 20% por el reflexivo y el 16% por el pragmático. Abstract The general objective of this research was to describe the study habits and learning styles of sixth grade students (morning) of the Pedro Castro Monsalvo Industrial Technical Educational Institution “INSTPECAM” in the city of Valledupar in 2022. Theoretically, it was set position with the postulates of Vicuña (1998), on study habits and Alonso et al. (1999), on learning styles. Methodologically, this study was carried out under a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental descriptive and cross-sectional design. The study habits inventory (CAMS - 85) and the Honey-Alonso questionnaire on learning styles were applied to a sample of 100 sixth grade students (morning) of the Pedro Castro Monsalvo Industrial Technical Educational Institution "INSTPECAM". The results indicated that 44% of the subjects have a positive tendency towards study habits, 31% a positive category, 20% a negative tendency, 4% a very positive category and 1% have a negative category. On the other hand, 40% of the subjects have a preference for the theoretical style, 24% for the active one, 20% for the reflective one and 16% for the pragmatic one.
