dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de esta investigación es describir los rasgos de personalidad asociados al género en función del sexo en estudiantes del programa de sociología de 8° y 9° semestre de la Universidad Popular del Cesar, Sede Valledupar, con una muestra de 121 sujetos, con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, diseño no experimental y corte trasversal, para medir dicha variable se aplicó el inventario de Masculinidad y Femineidad (IMAFE) con una escala Likert, por otro lado, para el análisis de datos se utilizó el programa SPSS, obteniendo como resultados que al calcular las puntuaciones por sexo no se encontró diferencias significativas estadísticamente entre hombres y mujeres, concluyendo que los rasgos de masculinidad y machismo están presentes mayoritariamente en los hombres, mientras que la femineidad y sumisión son rasgos predominantes en las mujeres, tal como lo menciona la literatura. Abstract The objective of this research is to describe the personality traits associated with gender based on sex in students of the 8th and 9th semester sociology program of the Popular University of Cesar, Valledupar Campus, with a sample of 121 men and women. , with a quantitative approach, of a descriptive type, non-experimental design and cross-section, to measure this variable, the Likert-type Inventory of Masculinity and Femininity (IMAFE) was obtained, on the other hand, for the analysis of results, the SPSS program was produced. In addition, when trying to calculate the proportions by sex, no statistically significant differences were found between men and women, concluding that masculinity and machismo traits are present mostly in men, while femininity and submission are predominant traits in women, as mentioned in the literature.
