dc.description.abstractToda actividad genera residuos sólidos que a su vez terminan en rellenos o botaderos, sitios que terminan siendo saturados con el exceso de desechos ya que no siempre se les brinda un adecuado manejo y aprovechamiento antes de ser arrojados a estos lugares. Esta situación es la que ha venido sucediendo en el mercado público del municipio de El Banco, Magdalena, en dónde no existe un aprovechamiento oportuno de los residuos sólidos que generan, por tanto, en este proyecto se diseñó e implementó un plan de aprovechamiento en este lugar. Este trabajo se desarrolló a través de cuatro etapas metodológicas que fueron las siguientes: La primera consistió en realizar un diagnóstico ambiental sobre el manejo actual de los residuos sólidos generados en el mercado. En la segunda etapa se planteó alternativas de aprovechamiento teniendo en cuenta los puntos de vista técnico, ambiental, social y económico. La tercera etapa consistió en diseñar el plan de aprovechamiento de los residuos sólidos teniendo en cuenta los resultados obtenidos del diagnóstico y alternativas planteadas. Y en la última etapa, se implementó la alternativa más viable de aprovechamiento de los residuos sólidos teniendo en cuenta los resultados obtenidos en las fases anteriores. Los resultados del estudio concluyeron que el 62% de los encuestados no realiza separación de los residuos sólidos orgánicos de los inorgánicos y asimismo que los residuos sólidos orgánicos fueron los que más se generaron, con un total de 949,67 kg durante el tiempo que duró la caracterización. De las alternativas planteadas e implementadas, se puede afirmar que con el lombricultivo se tuvo un aprovechamiento del 72% de los residuos, con la obtención de harina de pescado un 86,7%, y con la elaboración de ecoladrillos a partir de residuos plásticos se aprovecharon estos residuos en un 83,3%. En total, se puede hablar de un aprovechamiento total de residuos de un 80%. ABSTRACT All activity generates solid waste that in turn ends up in landfills or dumps, sites that end up being saturated with excess waste and that are not always properly managed and used before being thrown into these places. This situation is what has been happening in the public market of the municipality of El Banco, Magdalena, where there is no timely use of the solid waste that they generate, therefore, in this project a plan of use was designed and implemented in this place. This work was developed through four methodological stages, which were the following: The first consisted of carrying out an environmental diagnosis on the current management of solid waste generated in the market. In the second stage, alternatives for use were proposed taking into account the technical, environmental, social and economic points of view. The third stage consisted of designing the plan for the use of solid waste, taking into account the results obtained from the diagnosis and the alternatives proposed. And in the last stage, the most viable alternative for the use of solid waste was implemented, taking into account the results obtained in the previous phases. The results of the study concluded that 62% of those surveyed did not separate organic from inorganic solid waste and also that organic solid waste was the most generated, with a total of 949.67 kg during the time it lasted. characterization. Of the alternatives proposed and implemented, it can be affirmed that with the vermiculture, 72% of the waste was used, with the obtaining of fishmeal 86.7%, and with the elaboration of eco-bricks from plastic waste used this waste by 83.3%.
