Abstract
Introducción: La enfermedad renal crónica afecta significativamente los riñones de forma irreversible, impactando emocionalmente al paciente, su entorno familiar y social; determina cambios en los hábitos alimentarios, físicos y sociales afectando de esta manera, su salud y calidad de vida. Objetivo: Determinar la calidad de vida en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica sometidos a tratamiento de hemodiálisis en Valledupar 2020-2. Resultados: El 70% de la muestra fue del género masculino, el grupo de edad con más prevalencia son mayores de 60 años, el 90% de los encuestados reside fuera de Valledupar, el 95% convive con familiares, en cuanto al tipo de acceso venoso 70% tiene fistula arteriovenosa y el 100% de la muestra presenta enfermedades de base tales como diabetes, hipertensión y lupus. Según el instrumento Sf36, se identificó que referente al dolor percibido el 35% refirió no haber presentado, el 30% dolor moderado y el 20% mucho dolor, en la función física el 80% de los pacientes están limitados a realizar grandes esfuerzos, con respecto al rol físico el estudio reflejó que el 40% tuvo que reducir el tiempo dedicado a sus actividades. Conclusión: En general se pudo observar que los pacientes hemodializados tienen conductas de autocuidado aceptables y en general los encuestados tienen una calidad de vida buena, sin embargo la dimensión más afectada fue la función física y rol físico, donde argumentan tener limitaciones para realizar actividades que requieran esfuerzos.
Abstract
Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), occurs due to abnormal kidney alteration for more than 3 months or structural alteration of the same, where it is necessary to apply drug treatment and dialysis replacement, which generates an impact that affects the quality of life and health of the patient, reducing their well-being and productive functions in daily life. According to the above, it was necessary to study the degree of self-care in patients with CKD using an instrument that will measure the sociodemographic characteristics and self-care behaviors, as well as the quality of life through the 8 domains of the sf36 instrument that includes the function physical, psychological, social, general perception of health, mobility and emotional well-being. Objective: To determine the quality of life in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis treatment, Valledupar 2020-2. Results: Among the most significant results, 70% of the sample are male, the age group with the most prevalence are over 60 years old, 90% of those surveyed reside outside of Valledupar, 95% live with relatives Regarding the type of venous access, 70% have arteriovenous fistula and 100% of the sample has underlying diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, lupus and HIV. According to the Sf36 instrument, it was identified that regarding perceived pain during the last 4 weeks, 35% referred not having presented, 30% moderate pain and 20% a lot of pain, in physical function 80% of patients are limited to make great efforts, with respect to the physical role, the study showed that 40% had to reduce the time dedicated to their activities. Conclusion: In general, it could be observed that hemodialysis patients of the city Valledupar have acceptable self-care behaviors and in general the respondents have a good quality of life, however the most affected dimension was physical function and physical role, where they argue that they have limitations to perform activities that require effort.
