dc.description.abstractLa Ciénaga de la Zapatosa es un ecosistema importante en Colombia que provee agua y regula el clima en la región, y es hogar de diversas especies animales y vegetales. Sin embargo, también es vulnerable a desastres naturales debido a su ubicación y a la actividad humana. Para enfrentar estos desafíos, se propone la elaboración de un Plan Estratégico de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres para Poblaciones Ribereñas de la Ciénaga de la Zapatosa, basado en la Guía para la Formulación del PDGRD, 2018. Este plan busca identificar, evaluar y establecer programas que ayuden a combatir los diferentes riesgos y amenazas de la zona, protegiendo a la población local y al medio ambiente. Los objetivos específicos del plan incluyen realizar una caracterización, social y económica de las poblaciones ambientales ribereñas de la Ciénaga de la Zapatosa, identificar los factores de riesgo del área, analizar los escenarios de riesgo y formular medidas de reducción del riesgo para las poblaciones de Saloa, Santo Domingo y Sempegua. Las amenazas más presentes en la zona son los incendios, las inundaciones y la sequía, mientras que las heladas y la marejada tienen una baja probabilidad de aparecer. La implementación de este plan estratégico permitiría a las poblaciones ribereñas estar preparadas para enfrentar los riesgos de desastres y reducir sus impactos. ABSTRACT The Ciénaga de la Zapatosa is an important ecosystem in Colombia that provides water and regulates the climate in the region, and is home to various animal and plant species. However, it is also vulnerable to natural disasters due to its location and human activity. To face these challenges, the elaboration of a Strategic Disaster Risk Management Plan for Riverside Populations of the Ciénaga de la Zapatosa is proposed, based on the Guide for the Formulation of the PDGRD, 2018. This plan seeks to identify, evaluate and establish programs that help combat the different risks and threats in the area, protecting the local population and the environment. The specific objectives of the plan include carrying out a social and economic characterization of the riparian environmental populations of the Ciénaga de la Zapatosa, identifying the risk factors of the area, analyzing the risk scenarios and formulating risk reduction measures for the populations of Saloa, Santo Domingo and Sempegua. The most present threats in the area are fires, floods and drought, while frost and storm surge have a low probability of appearing. The implementation of this strategic plan would allow riverside populations to be prepared to face disaster risks and reduce their impacts.
