dc.description.abstractEl presente proyecto tuvo como objetivo evaluar el impacto ambiental de actividades económicas en un ecosistema rural denominado Pozo Azul. Se utilizó una lista de chequeo para identificar los impactos ambientales de las actividades económicas de turismo y alojamiento/restauración en el agua, suelo, flora, fauna, sociedad, cultura y economía. También se realizó un análisis de componentes principales para entender la relación entre los componentes y se establecieron políticas económicas, sociales y ambientales para mejorar la situación del ecosistema. Los resultados indicaron que la actividad económica de turismo presenta un impacto crítico en la infraestructura y los recursos naturales de las áreas turísticas, mientras que la actividad de alojamiento/restauración presenta un impacto severo en la generación de residuos y la degradación de los ecosistemas naturales. Asimismo, se identificó que el pilar social tiene una relación baja con los impactos ambientales en el agua, flora y fauna, pero una relación alta con los impactos negativos en el suelo, cultura y economía. El pilar ambiental tiene una relación baja con la economía, pero una relación alta con la degradación del suelo y la cultura. Se recomienda implementar las políticas propuestas que fomenten la inversión en tecnologías más eficientes en el uso del agua, prácticas agrícolas sostenibles y la conservación del suelo, turismo sostenible y responsable, la protección de especies en peligro de extinción, y la educación y conciencia en la población sobre la importancia del medio ambiente y la adopción de prácticas sostenibles en su vida diaria. ABSTRACT The aim of this project was to evaluate the environmental impact of economic activities in a rural ecosystem called Pozo Azul. A checklist was used to identify the environmental impacts of tourism and lodging/restaurant activities on water, soil, flora, fauna, society, culture, and economy. A principal component analysis was also conducted to understand the relationship between the components, and economic, social, and environmental policies were established to improve the ecosystem's situation. The results showed that tourism has a critical impact on the infrastructure and natural resources of tourist areas, while lodging/restaurant activities have a severe impact on waste generation and the degradation of natural ecosystems. Furthermore, the social pillar has a low relationship with environmental impacts on water, flora, and fauna, but a high relationship with negative impacts on soil, culture, and economy. The environmental pillar has a low relationship with the economy but a high relationship with soil degradation and culture. The proposed policies are recommended, including investment in more efficient water use technologies, sustainable agricultural practices, sustainable and responsible tourism, protection of endangered species, and education and awareness among the population about the importance of the environment and the adoption of sustainable practices in daily life.
