| dc.description.abstract | Las nuevas compresiones globales sobre la relación ambiente y vida han exhortado el establecimiento de acciones, regulaciones y nuevos comportamientos ciudadanos en favor del cuidado y protección del medio ambiente. Este trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo principal diseñar estrategias pedagógicas a partir de la gestión de residuos plásticos para el desarrollo de la cultura ambiental en estudiantes de educación básica. Para el desarrollo del estudio se empleó una metodología cualitativa, de alcance descriptivo, con diseño de Investigación acción Educativa, mediada por Ciclos de reflexión, con la participación de 60 estudiantes de quinto grado de la Institución Educativa Alberto Lleras Camargo, así como 30 docentes, y 60 padres de familia, por cuanto, este trabajo se efectúa involucrando la comunidad educativa en general. Como técnicas se recurrió a entrevistas, grupos focales, cuestionarios, con el apoyo de instrumentos como matrices, rubricas, diarios de campo. Los resultados de este estudio permitieron determinar la importancia de la práctica de enseñanza( planeación , implementación y evaluación de los aprendizajes; el fortalecimiento de aspectos como la cultura ambiental, las estrategias pedagógicas y la gestión de residuos plásticos que conduzcan a los estudiantes a la construcción de un entorno amigable con el medio ambiente que les permita como futuros ciudadanos actuar con mayor conciencia de la que se han tenido sus antecesores en el último siglo. Abstract The new global understanding of the relationship between environment and life has urged the establishment of actions, regulations and new citizen behaviors in favor of the care and protection of the environment. The main objective of this research work was to design pedagogical strategies based on plastic waste management for the development of environmental culture in elementary school students. For the development of the study, a qualitative methodology of descriptive scope was used, with an Educational Action Research design, mediated by Reflection Cycles, with the participation of 60 fifth grade students of the Alberto Lleras Camargo Educational Institution, as well as 30 teachers, and 60 parents, since this work is carried out involving the educational community in general. The techniques used were interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, with the support of instruments such as matrices, rubrics and field diaries. The results of this study made it possible to determine the importance of the teaching practice (planning, implementation and evaluation of learning); the strengthening of aspects such as environmental culture, pedagogical strategies and plastic waste management that lead students to the construction of an environmentally friendly environment that will allow them as future citizens to act with greater awareness than their predecessors have had in the last century.
