| dc.description.abstract | Los PRAE son considerados ejes primordiales para construir conciencia ambiental, cambiar costumbres y modelos tradicionales de disciplina, invirtiendo tiempo y espacio para que los estudiantes busquen soluciones ambientales para su institución y su entorno; mediante conceptos ambientales se establecen parámetros para determinar impactos ambientales relacionados con las actividades económicas, al igual que metas en beneficio de la calidad y bienestar en coherencia con la protección del ambiente y la sociedad (Ministerio de Educación Nacional, 2019). Por medio de las practicas académicas se actualizó el Proyecto Ambiental Escolar-PRAE-en la Institución Educativa Leónidas Acuña Sede Rafael Valle Meza como estrategia para fomentar la conciencia ambiental, por tres fases: realizar un diagnóstico ambiental y sanitario del estado actual de la institución educativa; verificar el cumplimiento de los lineamientos del Decreto 1743 de 1994 del PRAE actual y finalmente, implementar estrategias lúdicopedagógicas y ambientales para el fortalecimiento de la educación ambiental. La institución además, no cuenta con los enfoques pedagógicos, ni didácticos necesarios. Se incluyen los factores de pertinencia del PRAE sin embargo, no presenta la articulación con las entidades y entes de apoyo. En cuanto al estudiante, este debe ser un participante activo en su proceso de formación, analítico, crítico, propositivo, que confronte permanentemente sus experiencias con los saberes de las ciencias formales. Abstract The PRAE (School Environmental Projects) are considered essential pillars for building environmental awareness, changing habits and traditional models of discipline, by investing time and space for students to seek environmental solutions for their institution and its surroundings. Through environmental concepts, parameters are established to determine environmental impacts related to economic activities, as well as goals that benefit quality and well-being in coherence with the protection of the environment and society (Ministry of National Education, 2019). Through academic practices, the School Environmental Project (PRAE) was updated at the Leónidas Acuña Educational Institution, Rafael Valle Meza Campus, as a strategy to promote environmental awareness in three phases: conducting an environmental and sanitary diagnosis of the current state of the educational institution; verifying compliance with the guidelines of Decree 1743 of 1994 in the current PRAE; and finally, implementing playful-pedagogical and environmental strategies to strengthen environmental education. Furthermore, the institution lacks the necessary pedagogical and didactic approaches. Although the relevance factors of the PRAE are included, there is no articulation with supporting entities and organizations. As for the student, they must be an active participant in their training process—analytical, critical, and proactive—constantly confronting their experiences with the knowledge of formal sciences.
