    Análisis de las condiciones de seguridad y soberanía alimentaria del municipio de Aguachica, Cesar, desde un enfoque basado en los principios de la FAO.

    This project arose from the need to measure the state of food security in the municipality of Aguachica through indicators, in order to adopt appropriate measures. The project investigated the behavior of this factor by analyzing conditions during the period from 2018 to 2022, based on the guidelines of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Using a mixed approach, gathering information through statistical data and participatory workshops with agricultural producers, the availability of food in the municipality of Aguachica was identified during the aforementioned period. Official statistical information was collected, thus demonstrating that, although the municipality has productive potential for agriculture that can guarantee food stability, it is appropriate to adopt strategies to mitigate the impact of climate change. Similarly, the conditions of access and the process of food utilization were determined, considering economic, social, and physical factors that influence the equity and sustainability of food access during the study period, with special attention to dietary practices, nutrition, and population health through the review of related official reports and studies. The results of focus group interviews conducted in the form of participatory workshops contextualized the need for strategies aimed at developing regulatory frameworks and strategies that link production, logistics, and food security.
