    Arreglos de canciones tradicionales vallenatas a formato coral

    This project aims to create arrangements of traditional Vallenato songs in choral format without losing the essence of the genre. The research is based on the lack of choral proposals in the city of Valledupar, which is why it is generally sung by a soloist accompanied by an instrumental group. A qualitative approach is used, using the research-creation method to develop the arrangements of the selected songs: Jaime Molina, tell me bird and my poetry was born. The arrangements respect the structure with the characteristics of vallenato, adapting it to the choral format, with soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices. Through this work we seek to motivate choral practice in the vallenato genre and also contribute to the preservation of the genre.
