dc.descriptionEn la Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial Laureano Gómez Castro, ubicada en el Municipio de Aguachica departamento del Cesar, se diseñó e implemento una red de área local (LAN). La investigación adelantada en el Plantel Educativo permitió determinar la importancia y necesidad de contar con una infraestructura moderna para la transmisión de datos. Como solución la red existente fue adecuada, se desplego un sistema de cableado estructurado conmutado y estandarizado para garantizar que todos los usuarios de la red tengan acceso a internet, y compartan información por un mismo medio. Es importante destacar que la implementación de esta infraestructura proporciona varias ventajas en materia de telecomunicación, condescendiendo a la organización una mejor conectividad, aprovechamiento de los recursos, facilidad en el mantenimiento y expansión de la red. El desarrollo de este proyecto se efectuó siguiendo las fases del ciclo de vida de los servicios de cisco: PPDIOO el cual permitió preparar, planificar, diseñar, implementar, operar y optimizar la nueva red LAN. Este enfoque sistemático guio las actividades que permitieron tener mayor velocidad al mismo tiempo que una mejor calidad del servicio de la red de datos institucional, dando uso y acceso a los recursos que ofrece la tecnología. ABSTRACT At Laureano Gómez Castro Industrial Technical Education Institution, located in the municipality of Aguachica department of Cesar, a local area network (LAN) was designed and implemented. The research carried out in the Educational Institution allowed to determine the importance and necessity of having a modern infrastructure for the transmission of data. As a solution the existing network was adequate, a structured and standardized cabling system was deployed to ensure that all network users have access to the Internet, and share information through the same medium. It is important to emphasize that the implementation of this infrastructure provides several advantages in terms of telecommunication, condescending to the organization better connectivity, use of resources, ease in maintenance and expansion of the network. The development of this project was carried out following the life cycle phases of cisco services: PPDIOO which allowed to prepare, plan, design, implement, operate and optimize the new LAN. This systematic approach guided the activities that allowed to have greater speed at the same time that a better quality of the service of the institutional data network, giving use and access to the resources that the technology offers.
