dc.description.abstractEl presente artículo tiene como objetivo principal analizar la relación entre la geopolítica, la democracia y los sucesos internacionales. Se fundamentó el estudio en los planteamientos formulados por Carbajal (2023), Casanova & Miroux (2024), García (2023), Sabato (2023), Sandoval et al. (2023), entre otros. Metodológicamente la investigación fue de tipo documental. Se seleccionó el método cualitativo, realizando una búsqueda bibliográfica sistemática en Google académico, Scielo, Redalyc y Dialnet, limitándose a los idiomas inglés -castellano, usando los descriptores: Geopolítica, Democracia, Gobierno, Pluralismo y Negociación. Se observó la estrecha relación e influencia de la Geopolítica sobre la Democracia. Se concluyó que la Geopolítica condiciona diversos procesos democráticos e, inevitablemente, no pueden separarse, ya que todos los países están interconectados de alguna manera. Abstract The main objective of this article is to analyze the relationship between geopolitics, democracy and international events. The study was based on the approaches formulated by Carbajal (2023), Casanova and Miroux (2024), García (2023), Sabato (2023), Sandoval et al. (2023), among others. Methodologically, the research was documentary type. The qualitative method was selected, carrying out a systematic bibliographic search in Google academic, Scielo, Redalyc and Dialnet, limiting itself to the English - Spanish languages, using the descriptors: Geopolitics, Democracy, Government, Pluralism and Negotiation. The close relationship and influence of Geopolitics on Democracy was observed. It was concluded that Geopolitics conditions various democratic processes and, inevitably, they cannot be separated, since all countries are interconnected in some way.
