Resumen
La investigación titulada “funcionalidad familiar y hábitos de estudio en estudiantes de quinto y sexto grado en Valledupar”, tuvo como objetivo describir la funcionalidad familiar y los hábitos de estudio en estudiantes de quinto y sexto grado en edades entre 10 y 13 años de la Institución Educativa Técnico UPAR de la ciudad de Valledupar-Cesar.
El estudio fue cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental, de corte transversal y de tipo descriptivo. La población estuvo conformada por 191 estudiantes y la muestra utilizada fue de 127 alumnos. La edad de los estudiantes fluctuó entre los 10 y 13 años, siendo mayormente compuesta por el sexo masculino. Como método de recolección de datos se usaron los instrumentos “Apgar Familiar” de Smilkstein y el “Cuestionario de Hábitos y Técnicas de Estudio (CHTE)” de Álvarez y Fernández.
En los resultados obtenidos se pudo evidenciar altos niveles de funcionalidad familiar según la percepción de los sujetos encuestados y niveles satisfactorios en cuanto al manejo de hábitos de estudio en los estudiantes de los grados quinto y sexto de la institución Técnico Upar. Además, siendo familias funcionales o disfuncionales, se evidenció que los alumnos se sienten amados y que las falencias en la mayoría de las áreas conllevan a un mal manejo de los hábitos de estudio.
Abstract
The research entitled "family functionality and study habits in fifth and sixth grade students in Valledupar", had the objective of describing family functionality and study habits in fifth and sixth grade students between 10 and 13 years of age of the UPAR Technical Educational Institution of the city of Valledupar-Cesar.
The research was quantitative with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive design. The population consisted of 191 students and the sample used was 127 students. The age of the students fluctuated between 10 and 13 years, being mostly male, and the instruments used for data collection were Smilkstein's "Family Apgar" and Alvarez and Fernandez's "Study Habits and Techniques Questionnaire (CHTE)".
The results obtained showed high levels of family functionality according to the perception of the subjects surveyed and satisfactory levels in terms of the management of study habits in students in the fifth and sixth grades of the Upar Technical School. In addition, being functional or dysfunctional families, it was evidenced that the students feel loved and that the deficiencies in most of the areas lead to a bad management of study habits.
